Singing the Songs that Touch America's Heart!

Meet Mad Harmony

Mad Harmony (l to r; tenor Jay, lead Joshua, bass Kent, and baritone John)

Mad Harmony began singing together in December of 2008. All four gents are active members of the Capitol Chordsmen Chorus and they competed together for the first time at the Division One contest in April 2009.  In 2010, the quartet won the Division Novice Championship, placing third overall.
The lead, Joshua Oxley, has been singing barbershop since 2001. He has sung all four parts in active quartets but prefers to sing lead if given the chance. He looks forward to many great singouts with Mad Harmony, whenever he isn't directing the Capitol Chordsmen Chorus.
Their bass, Kent McDonald, first joined the Capitol Chordsmen in 1963 and is honored to have this opportunity to add the low notes to get the Mad Harmony sound.
Baritone, John Itson, began singing barbershop his freshman year at Capital University in Ohio. John relocated to Madison last year and joined the Capitol Chordsmen Chorus, jumping at the chance to be a part of Mad Harmony.

Jay Mulder, singing tenor, has been singing in the Capitol Chordsmen Chorus since 2006 and loves the opportunity to sing the high notes within the quartet.
